You may find that your treatment can be covered by your own medical insurance. As each policy varies it is important to check your individual situation.

The following information may be useful in identifying whether you have coverage under your policy.

In all situations (except vitality and WPA insurance) clients will pay directly for treatment and then be able to reclaim the costs through their insurer where applicable.

0808 115 3722 (Mon-Fri 8am to 8pm, Sat 9am to 12:30pm)

The majority of BUPA policies will not cover acupuncture with a traditional acupuncturist. They require practitioners to be GMC registered doctors as well as trained acupuncturists and so most professional acupuncturists will not be covered.

The exception to this is some European policies, some corporate policies and also the BUPA Health cash plan which

Will cover the costs towards acupuncture treatment services provided by an acupuncturist. Acupuncturist means an acupuncturist, recognised by Bupa or registered as a Member or Fellow of the British Acupuncture Council
(MBAcC or FBAcC), British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS), or
Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
