What happens at your first appointment

  1. We listen. Your practitioner takes a full history: your main concern, your general health, and any test results or treatment you’ve had. Please bring anything relevant.
  2. We explain. You’ll hear what we think is going on, whether acupuncture is likely to be a good fit, and what a course of treatment would look like.
  3. You have your first treatment. Most people find acupuncture far more relaxing than they expect. The needles are very fine, and many patients doze off.

Your first appointment lasts around 60 minutes and follow-ups around 40 minutes.

Our booking terms

To keep appointments available for everyone, we ask for:

  • New patients: a £50 deposit when you book, which goes towards your first appointment fee, and 48 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange.
  • Follow-up appointments: 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange.
