The following information may be useful in identifying whether you have coverage under your policy.
In all situations (except vitality and WPA insurance) clients will pay directly for treatment and then be able to reclaim the costs through their insurer where applicable.

The majority of BUPA policies will not cover acupuncture with a traditional acupuncturist. They require practitioners to be GMC registered doctors as well as trained acupuncturists and so most professional acupuncturists will not be covered.

Acupuncture is covered under complementary medicine. Cover ranges from £250 to £1,500 dependent on the policy you choose.
Normal exclusions apply, i.e no pre-existing medical conditions.
Initially you would have to go to your NHS GP to obtain a referral.
The Acupuncturist would need to be under the age of 70 and recognised by General and Medical Healthcare as a complementary medicine practitioner.

We are fully registered with Vitality and can receive their clients. Clients will need to provide the authorisation confirmation prior to starting treatment.
