The Windsor Acupuncture Clinic is part of The London Acupuncture Clinic, and it’s where it all started: Windsor was our first clinic, open since 2001, before Wimpole Street and Chiswick. Our treatment rooms are in an 1881 house on Alma Road, with a reception and waiting area shared with the other practitioners in the building.

Where it all started
Windsor was our first clinic, years before we opened in London. We’ve treated thousands of local patients here since 2001, many of whom have come back for years and sent their families too. It’s still part of The London Acupuncture Clinic, with the same team, standards and notes system as our London clinics.
Fertility care without the trip into London
Fertility is what The London Acupuncture Clinic is best known for, and the Windsor team brings that experience to Berkshire. Most of your IVF support can happen here. Embryo transfer acupuncture is done at our Wimpole Street clinic, so on transfer day you’d see us there.
A choice of practitioner
Three experienced practitioners, men and women, so you can see whoever you feel most comfortable with.
Part of a wider health network
We share the building with other health practitioners and work closely with local physiotherapists and chiropractors. If we think something needs a different approach, we’ll tell you.
Herbal medicine on site
Chinese herbs are prescribed at the clinic when they’ll help, alongside electro-acupuncture and heat lamps.

Daniel Elliott
LLB Lic.Ac MBAcC Clin.Ac(China) MRCHM
Daniel built his practice here in Windsor after training at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture, before hospital-based work in China. He has published on gynaecological disorders and infertility, and set up an in-house complementary therapy team in an IVF unit. His treatment is as gentle as possible, using fine needles imported from Japan.
Special interests: fertility and IVF, endometriosis and menstrual disorders, recurrent miscarriage and pregnancy care, back pain and sciatica.
Catherine Watkins
BSc (Hons) Lic.Ac MBAcC
Catherine was a radiographer specialising in breast cancer care before graduating from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine with first-class honours. She holds the Advanced Diploma in Fertility, is training as a fertility coach, and likes to work with both partners. She has volunteered with the charity World Medicine in rural India.
Special interests: fertility and women’s health, menopause, stress, anxiety and sleep, cancer support, and musculoskeletal pain.
Vikki Lake
BSc (Hons) Lic.Ac MBAcC
Vikki spent more than 15 years in mental health care, where she saw how closely emotional and physical symptoms feed into each other. That led her to Chinese medicine and a 3.5-year degree at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.
Special interests: insomnia, stress, chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries, and ear acupuncture to strengthen treatment.

What happens at your first appointment
Your first appointment lasts an hour. We’ll go through your health history and what you’d like to change, and you’ll have your first treatment in the same session. Follow-ups take 40 minutes. By the end of the first visit we’ll tell you how many sessions we’d expect you to need, and how we’ll know whether it’s working.

Is there parking at the Windsor clinic?
Yes. Our driveway has free parking for around 10 cars, and there’s paid on-street parking directly outside on Alma Road.
Is the Windsor clinic part of The London Acupuncture Clinic?
Yes. Windsor was our first clinic, opened in 2001, before our Wimpole Street and Chiswick clinics. All three share the same team and patient records.
Can I have IVF support in Windsor?
Yes. You can have your acupuncture in the lead-up to and during IVF here in Windsor. Embryo transfer acupuncture is only offered at our Wimpole Street clinic, so on transfer day we’d see you there.
Do you offer herbal medicine in Windsor?
Yes. Chinese herbs are available at all three of our clinics. Your practitioner will only suggest them when they think they’ll help, and will talk you through cost and what’s involved first.
Can I switch between Windsor and London?
Yes. Your notes are shared across all three clinics, so you can book in Windsor, Wimpole Street or Chiswick, whichever suits your week.

Look for the Alma Medica sign above the black double doors at number 47.
- By car: park free on our own driveway, which has room for around 10 cars, or use the paid on-street parking right outside. Junction 6 of the M4 is a few minutes away.
- By train: around 10 minutes’ walk from Windsor & Eton Central and 15 minutes from Windsor & Eton Riverside.
- Coming from nearby: patients travel to us from Eton, Datchet, Old Windsor, Ascot, Maidenhead, Slough and Egham.
- Access: our treatment rooms are on the first floor, up a flight of stairs, so the Windsor clinic isn’t suitable for wheelchair users or anyone who can’t manage stairs. Our Chiswick clinic has good disabled access, so call us on 01753 622 344 and we’ll book you in there instead.
