Pain is one of the most common reasons people try acupuncture
And one of the areas where we have the most experience.
And one of the areas where we have the most experience.
We treat sports injuries, back pain, arthritis, headaches, and chronic tension. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing a long-term condition, or dealing with pain that hasn’t responded to other treatment, we’ve probably seen it before.
Many of our pain patients find us through recommendation from previous patients or health professionals. We regularly work alongside your physiotherapist, GP, or pain specialist, and our work is regularly covered by private health insurance.
Any other questions, email enquiries@londonacupuncture.co.uk and our experts will reply as soon as possible.
HOW CAN ACUPUNCTURE HELP?
Acupuncture is based on the idea that health depends on smooth flow of “qi” (energy) through channels beneath the skin. If this flow is disrupted (by stress, injury, poor diet, or overwork) illness can occur.
By inserting fine needles at specific points, acupuncture aims to restore balance and support healing.
We practise Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture. Our practitioners have degree-level training, specialise solely in acupuncture.
DOES IT WORK ON ITS OWN?
Acupuncture can be effective on its own for some conditions but it is often used alongside conventional care. We are happy to work with your GP or specialist for a more integrated approach, and to use tests and scan results to guide treatment.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
We begin with an initial consultation to review your medical history, understand your needs, and discuss your goals. We’ll look for underlying imbalances, agree on the best treatment approach, and answer any questions.
At follow-up appointments, your acupuncturist inserts very fine needles, which are left in place for around 15 minutes.
WILL IT HURT?
Acupuncture needles are very fine and usually painless. Many people feel deeply relaxed during and after treatment.
The needles are a similar size to a human hair (nothing like an injection needle). You may notice brief pressure as a needle goes in, which typically fades vert quickly.
